East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices offer a family-centred, needs-led approach to care, ensuring all of the needs of the children and young people cared for are met – whether psychological, physical, emotional, social or spiritual.
Care can take place in a variety of settings including at home and in their hospices, and includes care at end of life, day care and short breaks, counselling and bereavement support, physical and wellbeing therapies, and a 24/7 symptom management support team.
£13 could pay a Care Assistant for an hour, caring for and supporting children and young people.
£54 could pay a Family Therapist for two hours, providing targeted and specialist psychotherapy to children, young people and families experiencing moderate to severe or complex psychological difficulties.
£200 could purchase a Community Nursing Pack; essential equipment to deliver care in the family home or elsewhere in the community.
